Enclosure design is an area in which we have a great deal of experience, many happy customers, and two international design awards.
Bespoke enclosures for mass production tend to fall into two material types, injection moulded plastics, and die cast metals. Many of our projects have involved design of new enclosures for plastic injection moulding.
For low volume production and prototyping or as a bridge to mass production, we may select vacuum or RIM casting.
We follow a tried and tested method of understanding you and your customers needs, developing a range of exciting conceptual designs, then selecting the best to be detailed up in 3D CAD ready for prototype and manufacture. Sounds expensive? We compared the cost of a customer continuing to use an off the shelf enclosure, which was then CNC machined to suite their application, against the total cost of design, prototyping, tooling, and manufacture of a bespoke system. Less than 1,000 units were needed before break even was reached, and the bespoke enclosure delivered a better end product.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

STEP 2 – When we understand what you need, we will create a written proposal which details each stage of the design process that we would recommend you undertake, how much this will cost, and how long it will take.
STEP 3 – You can commission us to deliver one stage at a time, so you remain in control of your budget.
STEP 4 – We work very hard to deliver work that exceeds your expectations and delivers value to your business.
STEP 5 – Any IP generated is wholly assigned to you when the work has been completed and paid for.
