Conceptual Design is often what people associate most with product and industrial design. The skill lies in imagining something new that fulfils different requirements for different people, then refining it into a new design that is beautiful, functional, and achievable, both technically and commercially.
Conceptual Design one of the early stages of a full design project. But we also deliver this kind of work as a standalone service. Why? Sometimes people need to present an exciting new idea to investors or a board of directors. A picture (or model) really does say a thousand words, so if you need to get people excited about a new product, to raise funds, to market your idea, then a well crafted design concept might just be the way to do it.
There are many ways to present Conceptual Design. Options may include freehand sketching, 2D visualisation using a drawing package such as Photoshop, 3D visualisation using rendered views of a 3D CAD model, animations of a 3D CAD model, or a physical prototype. At 4D we are experts in all these areas, and would tailor the outputs to your situation and budget, so why not get in touch to discuss how we can help.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
STEP 1 – Get in touch with 4D and explain your requirements. If you need us to sign a non disclosure agreement to protect your unique idea, that’s fine.
STEP 2 – When we understand what you need, we will create a written proposal which details each stage of the design process that we would recommend you undertake, how much this will cost, and how long it will take.
STEP 3 – You can commission us to deliver one stage at a time, so you remain in control of your budget.
STEP 4 – We work very hard to deliver work that exceeds your expectations and delivers value to your business.
STEP 5 – Any IP generated is wholly assigned to you when the work has been completed and paid for.
